The mourning ceremony was broadcast live on the artist’s official profile on the social network Facebook. About 200 invited guests were present in the mourning hall. The President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová also came to the funeral at the invitation of the family. The Slovak ambassador to the Czech Republic Rastislav Káčer sat next to her. The last goodbyes to Meky came from several personalities of Czech and Slovak cultural life.

At the beginning of the mourning ceremony, Meky’s song Autumn Love was heard, followed by the song All You Need Is Love by The Beatles. The Slovak music expert Juraj Čurný was the first to speak.

“We are losing one of the symbols of decency, honesty and legality.
