Vlhová confirms dominance in Levi: Online broadcast from the 2nd round of women’s slalom – Športky.sk

LEVI – Slovak skier Petra Vlhová settled at the head of Saturday’s World Cup slalom in the 1st round. In Levi, Finland, she led eleven hundredths of a second ahead of American rival Mikaela Shiffrin after the initial fifteen starters. Slovenian Andreja Slokarová was third with a gap of 0.48 s.

In cloudy weather and under artificial lighting, the defender of the big globe with the number 2 started. Immediately after Slovakia, Shiffrin went on the track, she also skied smoothly and without mistakes, but compared to the leader, she lacked something of aggression. Especially in the final part, however, she skewed the shortage to a minimum.

Slokarová rose to the third place from the second drawn group 8-15. The 24-year-old Slovenian confirmed her form from the Austrian resort of Lech / Zürs, where she triumphed in a parallel competition a week ago.
