BERLIN – Bayern Munich footballers lost in the 12th round of the German Bundesliga on Friday at Augsburg 1: 2. Their winning streak in the competition thus stopped at number four.

The home side put themselves ahead 2 – 0 after 38 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Mads Pedersen, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The guests managed to reduce during the break thanks to Robert Lewandowski, but despite a lot of pressure in the second half, they could not cope. Bayern leads the table, ahead of second-placed Dortmund, who has a four-point lead, but Borussia has Saturday’s duel with Stuttgart. Augsburg is in 15th place with 12 points.
