KOŠICE, PREŠOV. On the tightened covid automat, which the government is trying to stop the worsening epidemic and especially the critical situation in hospitals, local governments are already responding.

The city of Prešov announced on Friday that it was canceling the Christmas markets. After last year’s break, Prešov City Hall planned them at least in a limited regime for fully vaccinated people.

In the end, it came out completely, so the people of Prešov will not meet in the markets in the city center this year either.

The town hall justifies this because the new rules reduce the number of people allowed at mass events.

The updated covid slot machine allows only 50 participants in mass events out of the original 100 people.

Large parts of the city are reporting interference

The Christmas markets were similarly arranged in Košice. The North and West districts will not open craft, Christmas or Advent markets this year either. This is despite the fact that they were originally preparing for them.
