He was on appeal for the kidnapping, kidnapping, rape and murder of the young woman in Roquecourbe in the Tarn. The body has never been found.

“It’s incredible justice”, reacts Irma, the mother of the condemned. “There is no evidence behind,” adds his companion. The two comforted Guerric Jehanno several minutes before he left the court at 9:03 p.m.

For his lawyer Marie-Hélène Pibouleau: “He is someone resigned, but we are going to think about the idea of ​​appealing to us. We have five days for that. This verdict is mind-blowing. We made 5 hours of Or they didn’t understand. Or the dice were cast in advance. For the Estrabaud family, there had to be a culprit. It doesn’t matter whether you condemn an ​​innocent person. It’s a decision I can’t understand. It’s a shame.”

On the side of the civil parties, Me Pierre Debuisson wishes to address the convicted person: “We appeal to Guerric Jehanno. If he now says where Amandine’s body is, the sentencing judge will necessarily take it into account. . This could save him up to 8 years of freedom, but also relieve his conscience and Amandine’s family. “

30 years in prison at the first trial

The 30-year-old young woman had disappeared after leaving the high school in Castres where she worked as a supervisor. Guerric Jehanno, a 32-year-old former mason, had known the victim for whom he had shown an attraction for several years.

Attorney General Bernard Lavigne had required 30 years of criminal imprisonment at midday. This is the sentence to which Guerric Jehanno was sentenced by the Assize Court of Tarn during his first trial.
