The number of new cases of the disease decreased the second day in a row, adding 56 victims – TVNOVINY.sk

On Thursday (November 18), 7418 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were detected by 23,440 RT-PCR tests. There were also 56 casualties. The National Center for Health Information (NCZI) informs about it on the website covid-19.nczisk.sk.

Of the 7,418 people with a positive PCR test, almost 71 percent were not vaccinated. According to the Ministry of Health (MZ) of the Slovak Republic, the most positive tests were in the Žilina Region, the least in the Nitra Region. 2,711 people had a positive antigen test, of whom almost 73 percent were not vaccinated.

“There are still more patients in hospitals, there are currently 2,945 people with COVID-19 disease,” said Zuzana Eliášová, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health. There are 259 patients at JIS, 256 people need support for artificial lung ventilation. Almost 82 percent of patients in hospitals are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.

The first dose is 2,564,688 people vaccinated in Slovakia, the second dose was given to 2,331,006 people. The third dose is vaccinated 245,484 people.
