Created by Darren Star, the hit series “Emily in Paris” returns for season 2 on Netflix, expected on December 22. The platform unveiled the first official trailer.

Netflix

Romantic, glamorous and more French than ever, Emily Cooper is back. More than a year after the release of season 1, a surprise phenomenon on Netflix, Darren Star’s fiction offers itself a season 2. Scheduled for December 22 – a strategic launch date to take advantage of the Christmas holidays -, this second chapter seems to always surf as much on an idealized vision of the capital. On the program: new settings, such as the Palace of Versailles transformed into a fashion show, the famous Père-Lachaise cemetery or even the South of France, with a passage to Saint-Tropez.

Lily Collins obviously finds her role and her many haute couture outfits. She is surrounded by Camille Razat, Ashley Park, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Bruno Gouery, Samuel Arnold and Lucas Bravo, who is back in season 2. A new suitor for Emily is however added to the cast. His name is Lucien Laviscount and he plays Alfie, a refreshing character who should make the heroine’s head spin.

During its filming in France, American production had posed some problems for Parisians who criticized the team for imposing too many daily restrictions. The series remains, despite everything, a beautiful business card for France. In 2021, Emily in Paris was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series.

Emily in Paris season 2 hits Netflix on December 22.
