In the high-end and premium segment, Samsung has its Galaxy S range, Apple has its annual iPhone batch. Xiaomi, for its part, is banking on its eponymous phones formerly known as Xiaomi Mi, before the name “Mi” does not disappear in August 2021.

As a good successor to the Xiaomi Mi 11, the manufacturer’s next flagship should logically be called Xiaomi 12. Nothing is official yet, but there is no apparent reason for the Chinese firm to upset the nomenclature of its catalog. The fact is that this smartphone is expected at the end of 2021 in China.

What design for the Xiaomi 12?

Xiaomi 12 performance and autonomy: top chip and super fast charge?

The year 2021 was marked by the introduction of Snapdragon 888, the 2022 vintage will honor the Snapdragon 895 (or 898) from Qualcomm. This worthy successor is obviously expected on all high-end smartphones next year: it could even land in December.

Besides, several manufacturers are on the war footing to become the first to install this chip in one of its smartphones. We are talking about Nubia, Motorola… and Xiaomi, which could make its Xiaomi 12 the first device in the world to include the Snapdragon 895.

As such, Qualcomm would even be a month and a half ahead of its schedule. Its conference in early December, held in Hawaii, will be an opportunity to present its technological advances.
