A team of experts then modified an antibody called TAP01 so that the human body would not perceive it as completely foreign.

“If these results were confirmed in human tests, then it could be revolutionary. It would open up the opportunity not only to treat Alzheimer’s disease, but also to potentially vaccinate against the disease before the symptoms appear, ”concluded Professor Mark Carr of the University of Leicester.
