PRAGUE. On Monday, after a three-hour meeting, the Czech government did not agree on how to tighten measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Negotiations on tightening measures will thus continue on Thursday. This was stated by the Czech Prime Minister after the meeting of the government cabinet Andrej Babiš, informed the Novinky.cz portal.

“We spent three hours discussing further measures to prevent an increase in the number of hospitalized. After three hours, the government did not agree, we will continue on Thursday,” Babis said.

The government was expected to approve restrictions on the use of antigenic tests on Monday. The inhabitants of the Czech Republic would thus need a more expensive PCR test to confirm infectivity, if they were not vaccinated or did not exceed COVID-19.

According to the Czech Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch, the government is currently deciding between three options for tightening epidemic measures. According to him, the government cabinet should negotiate the so-called the Austrian and Bavarian models or the recognition of PCR tests.

The Austrian model is that unvaccinated people will have limited mobility. In the Bavarian model, unvaccinated people would not have restricted movement, but only vaccination or confirmation of covid would be valid as a certificate of infectivity. Finally, the third variant includes only the recognition of PCR tests in proving infectivity using tests, explains the Novinky.cz portal.
