Slovak hockey forward Marcel Haščák will play for Slovan Bratislava for the first time in his career.

The arrival of an experienced 34-year-old winger was confirmed by the official website of the leader of the domestic extra league, Marcel Haščák signed a contract with Slovan by the spring of 2024.

“Marcel and I have been in personal contact during the national team break in recent days. After we found out that he was not completely satisfied with his role in Kometa, we presented him with a specific offer to work in Slovan.

In the end, we agreed quite quickly. Marcel is a winning type of player, he longs not only for a full-fledged role in the team, but especially for team success. I believe that we will succeed in both together in Slovana, “said the general manager of Slovan Maroč Krajči on the club’s website.

Haščák should play in the new club this week in Spišská Nová Ves, Michalovce and Liptovský Mikuláš.

Marcel Haščák started his current year in the Czech Comet Brno, in which he recorded a balance of 5 goals and 3 assists in 18 duels.

In Slovakia, he played in the past for Poprad and Košice, in the supranational KHL for Riga and Khabarovsk, in the Czech Republic, in addition to Brno, also for Karlovy Vary.

He represented Slovakia at five World Championships (2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018) and at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyongyang. He won one title with the people of Košice, he took silver with the national team at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2012. He also has two titles from the Czech Republic and Brno (2017 and 2018).

Faith became a reinforcement of Michalovce, Valtola ended up in the club

The forward Roman Faith became a new reinforcement of Dukla Ingem Michalovce. However, the defender Kalle Valtola ended up in the team, he informed the club about it on social networks.

Zeleňák heads to Jihlava

Slovak defender Vojtech Zeleňák will try the second highest Czech competition for the first time in his career. After leaving the iClinic Bratislava Capitals club, he agreed on a contract with Dukla Jihlava. The Czech club informed about it on its official website.

Zeleňák played in the Capitals jersey in 14 matches of the International ICE Hockey League. After the recent deaths of striker Boris Sádecký and vice-president Dušan Pašek Jr. decided not to continue in the current year.

Zeleňák is the sixth Capitals player who has already found a new job. Defender Samuel Fereta returned to Nové Zámky, striker Jamie Arniel was won by HK Poprad.

Goalkeeper Connor LaCouvee (KalPa) and forward Marc-Olivier Roy (SaiPa) have headed to Finland, Russian striker Nikolai Zerdev will play in Italy (HCM Meran / o).
