Čaputová said the last word, the rules will change. Ordinary life is complicated by the unvaccinated – Startitup

The employee should prove himself / herself with a vaccination against COVID-19, confirmation of overcoming the disease or a negative test result upon entering the job. It will also be possible in operations.

A person who refuses to prove his or her identity will not have to be admitted to establishments or to a mass event. This follows from the amendment of some laws in connection with the third wave of the pandemic. Legislative changes were signed on Sunday evening (November 14) by the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová.

There will be different rules for the third wave

The bill was submitted by the Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský on Wednesday, November 10. and will mainly affect the third wave of coronavirus. The proposal is based on anti-pandemic measures proposed by the members of the expert council.

The government has agreed to adjust the obligations of operators. They will have to require proof of identity from persons before entry. If they refuse to do so, they will have to deny them access to the premises.

The proposal also talks about creating the legal preconditions for ordering the closure of a plant during a crisis situation due to COVID-19. The person performing the state health supervision will thus be able to close the operation on the spot and the Police Force can also request assistance.

A member of the police force will also be able to request confirmation of vaccination, overcoming and confirmation of a negative test result, precisely in connection with the use of the right to deny entry to a designated place or order to remain at a specified place.

It won’t be enough if you just tell the cop you’re vaccinated. You will have to prove yourself.

Otherwise it will work at work

In this connection, the amendment to the Labor Code regulates the employer’s obligation to check the relevant document. If you do not prove yourself, the employer should not let you into the workplace and thus not allow you to do the job.

In this case, the employer should allow you to fulfill the obligation in another way, by free testing on his part. The cost of the tests is to be borne by the state. If you also refuse this method of proof, you will not be allowed to enter the workplace.

In that case, it will be an obstacle to work on the part of the employee, which means that the employer is not obliged to allocate work to you, without compensation. However, the parties may also agree on another regime, such as wage compensation or leave.

The amendment to the Act on Offenses is also intended to regulate the new facts of offenses in the area of the provision of health care. For example, a factual basis is introduced, the aim of which is to specifically punish verbal attacks and denigration of providers and recipients of health care, as well as persons involved in its provision.
