A Polish soldier lost his life on Saturday while serving on the Polish-Belarusian border. AFP and Reuters reported.

The Polish army said in a statement that the soldier’s death was an “unfortunate accident.”

Polish police announced on Saturday that they had found the body of a young Syrian near the Polish border with Belarus.

Thousands of migrants from the Middle East are being camped in the Polish border areas, brought to the border by the Belarusian regime.

Migrants want to get to Poland and from there to the European Union. The European Union accuses Belarus of deliberately bringing people into Eastern Europe and their subsequent smuggling into the West.

The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border intensified on Monday, November 8. At that time, several thousand people came to the Polish border from the Belarusian side and refused to leave the border zone. Some of them tried to get to Poland by rolling or cutting a barbed wire fence.

EU member states accuse Minsk of deliberately escalating the crisis and call for sanctions. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, on the other hand, claims that the Western countries themselves are to blame for this situation, because as a result of their actions, people are fleeing their homeland before the war.
