Hockey players did not achieve a triumph in the German Cup: Buček’s goal at home Germany was not enough – Športky.sk

KREFELD – Slovak hockey representatives lost in the final match of the German Cup with the home team 1: 4 and took second place. The Germans were happy with the triumph at the event, the third place belongs to Switzerland and the fourth to the players of the Olympic selection of Russia.

The Germans took the lead after fourteen seconds of play. The home team started a throw-in attack and Leo Pfoederl did not hesitate when he used the shot after Marcel Noebels’ shot. Slovak hockey players could answer a minute later, but Buček did not advance against Strahlmeier. In the 6th minute, the home hockey players hit again, after a nice combination, Tobias Rieder scored. The Germans were also more active in the rest of the opening third, and Filip Belányi had his hands full at his national premiere. His throat also helped him get into Rieder’s escape.

The second period was more balanced and the Slovaks managed to reduce in the 26th minute. Buček pulled the puck to the left and shot Strahlmeier out of the circle. Pavol Regenda was given a chance to change things around. Buček came in from the right. The game came to a standstill in the next few minutes, neither side was able to work out a goal opportunity or keep their offensive zone for a longer period of time. The first elimination came in the 35th minute of the match, when Fohrler fouled behind the German goal. The Slovaks put more pressure at the end of the power play, but they could not use it. Takáč’s foul was followed by a large advantage of the Germans, who were mostly indistinct, but in the end they managed to settle in the zone and from the blue shot the goalkeeper Bittner – 3: 1. At the end of the second period, Belányi still performed, who neutralized the flow of Uvira after a shot by Noebels.

The last third started more slowly, in the fourth minute the Slovaks managed to keep the offensive zone for a while, but the Germans did not allow them anything. The home team took the conservative control of the game and did not try too hard to invent anything in the offensive. Craig Ramsey, on the other hand, tried to create and waited in vain for a bigger opportunity. With 53 minutes played, Gabriel Dumont nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Immediately after its end, Germany went on the offensive and increased to 4 – 1 after a separate escape with a nice shot under the crossbar Rieder.
