Coronavirus in Slovakia: 5,804 new cases and 52 covid deaths – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests detected 5,804 infected people in Slovakia on Saturday coronavirus, laboratories examined 17,941 PCR samples. This is the highest number of people infected on Saturday since the beginning of the pandemic.

The National Health Information Center informs about it.

The most positive PCR tests were in the Prešov region, the tests here revealed 1,255 infected. In the Košice region 869 positive, in the Trnava region 815, in the Banská Bystrica region 761, in the Žilina region 652, in the Bratislava region 587, in Trenčianske 478, in the Nitra region 387.

Antigen tests detected 1,352 cases of infection, and medics performed 12,9358 tests.

Another 52 people died of Covid-19, and a total coronavirus pandemic in Slovakia has claimed 13,537 victims.

The number of hospitalizations with covid did not increase yesterday, there are 2,626 patients in hospitals. There are 238 patients at JIS, 239 people need support for artificial lung ventilation.

The total number vaccinated with the first dose vaccines there are 2,544,367 1,639 vaccinated in the previous day. 2,325,897 people have already received the second dose of the vaccine, and 357 people have been vaccinated the past day. The third dose vaccinated 5,443 people yesterday, for a total of 200,936.
