The number of hospitalized in the Czech Republic increased sharply. Soldiers will help in hospitals – TVNOVINY.sk

From Monday, November 15, forty soldiers will help in five hospitals and one home for the elderly in the Olomouc and Zlín regions in the Czech Republic. One week later, four soldiers enter the hospital in Uherské Hradiště. The news server Novinky.cz informed about it on Sunday.

He will help eight soldiers in the towns of Vsetín and Valašské Meziříčí in the Zlín Region. Other members of the army will join hospitals in Prostějov, Šternberk and Přerov and a home for the elderly in the village of Komárov in the Olomouc Region.

The soldiers will assist with the positioning of patients, with hygiene, food collection and also with cleaning, or with the operation of the reception. These soldiers have a medical education.

The presence of soldiers in the hospital in Vsetín is welcomed due to the sharp increase in the number of patients. For these reasons, the hospital needs to change the organization of inpatient care.

More than 9,000 new cases of coronavirus infection have occurred

On Saturday, there were 9,161 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the Czech Republic. That’s 3423 more than last week on Saturday.

The average weekly incidence also increased again, specifically to 693 confirmed cases per 100,000 people, informs the news server Novinky.cz.

The number of deaths recorded in connection with covid increased to 31,481 in the Czech Republic. According to interim data, 27 people died on Saturday. There are currently 3736 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals, 557 of whom are in serious condition.
