His torment for New time described his wife. Šofér Vladimír (68) was on duty on the fateful Wednesday, November 13, 2019, and among the people he transported were mainly schoolchildren. The bus finally crashed unhappily with a truck, after which the balance was threatening: 12 people died, including 4 minor children. Survivors do not find peace even after two years. The bus driver Vladimír did not find it either.

After a traumatic experience, Vladimír decided not to continue as a driver. For the first time since one of the most tragic traffic accidents in the history of Slovakia, his wife spoke.

During the afternoon drive, a truck filled with stones appeared in front of the driver with a bus full of people. Vladimír pulled the steering wheel, after which the vehicles collided with their side parts and the bus then overturned. “We avoid that topic, we don’t talk about it,” revealed Vladimir’s wife.

The driver dealt with the experience in his own way, and finally decided to leave temporarily, but it was extended indefinitely. “He was in Marodka for a year and then he never came back,” Vladimir’s wife continues. The feelings and trauma are so strong that they can’t even return to the place. “We avoid everything around as much as we can, it’s very difficult for us. It must be terrible for the bereaved.” adds.
