Covid. Reinforcement of checks on the arrival of travelers in Morocco – Media 24

The Moroccan authorities have decided to strengthen the control system for access to national territory, announces a press release from the interministerial Covid monitoring committee, disseminated by the MAP agency.

In addition to the mandatory health pass and negative PCR tests for people from countries on the B list, upon arrival in Morocco, a double control, by thermal cameras and electronic thermometers, as well as by antigenic tests, explains the press release.

Medical teams made up of several doctors will be deployed in all of the kingdom’s ports and airports.

Any passenger who tests positive on arrival in Morocco will not be able to access the national territory and will have to return immediately to the country of origin at the total expense of the air or sea transport company, with the exception of people with permanent residence in Morocco

This decision comes in order to preserve the important achievements made by Morocco in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and in the context of preventive health measures imposed by a context marked by the increase in cases of contamination in Morocco’s European neighborhood.

Here are the countries classified in list B. All countries not appearing are classified in list A.
