THE ANGELES. The Los Angeles court ended almost 14 years of custody of the property and private affairs of American pop star Britney Spears.

Her fans welcomed the decision in front of the courtroom.

The 39-year-old singer did not attend the hearing, Reuters reported.

“The custody of Britney Spears’ person and property is hereby ended,” Judge Brenda Penny said after a half-hour hearing during which neither party opposed the abolition.
