Fixed internet from Telekom has 762,000 clients. Prepaid cards grew, the profit reached 251 million euros – Živé.sk

Telekom published its financial results as of September 30, 2021. It was successful in financial indicators. The number of clients with mobile and fixed services also grew.

“Despite the great challenges during the waves of the pandemic, 2021 is moving in a financially positive direction. Revenue growth of more than three percent is more than satisfactory, especially when we are able to invest in new networks or customers in parallel, “said Pavel Hadrbolec, CFO of Telekom and T-Mobile Czech Republic.

Company revenues increased year-on-year up to 18.3 million to EUR 580.5 million. About 3.7 million to EUR 251 million also grew unadjusted profit (EBITDA).

TV and fixed internet grew

The operator has been doing well for many years gain new TV subscriberswhich he had at the end of September already 663 thousand. 19,000 more were added year-on-year. It is a common number for Magio TV, Magio Sat, Magio Go, Digi cable, Digi TV and Digi Go services.

Even more pronounced fixed internet grew – Up to 32,000 to 762-thousand customers. About 8,000 clients at 870-thousand the number of people has grown with landline.

2.32 million mobile clients

It used mobile services from Telekom at the end of September 2.493 million clients. 81,000 more were added year-on-year. This is a calculation that includes clients who have performed a paid operation in the last year. With a 3-month methodology there are 2.324 million customers and year-on-year there are 17,000 more.

At 12-month activity is number of flat rate clients year-on-year higher by 11 thousand – together they are 1.429 million. It has grown by 25,000 customers number of people with a prepaid card and they were together at the end of September 506 thousand.

They grew again M2M cardswhich are intended for communication between devices. There are 46,000 more of them year-on-year, and they were together at the end of September 559 thousand.

Share of traffic in the 4G network according to the operator still exceeds 97 percent. In the summer when the operator offered unlimited data for free, traffic on mobile networks increased by more than 41 percent year on year compared to normal traffic.
