Franck Lavier, acquitted of Outreau, sent back to the Assize Court for rape and incest – South West

According to an article in the Parisian, three judges from Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais) ordered the referral to the assize court of Franck Lavier, acquitted of the Outreau case for rape and sexual assault by ascendant on his daughter Cassandra. For a year and a half, between September 2014 and May 2016, he allegedly abused his daughter. The latter then revealed it to the CPE of her high school in Boulogne-sur-Mer and subsequently to the police.

Frank Lavier has been denying the facts since 2016 but the judges ruled that there were enough charges to prosecute him. This is not the first time that he is accused by Cassandra, in 2012, he had already been convicted of violence against his daughter. The 43-year-old man is known to have been part of the high-profile case of Outreau, where many children were sexually abused in the town of Outreau (Pas-de-Calais). Still claiming his innocence, he was convicted at first instance, before being acquitted by the Paris Court of Appeal in 2005.
