TRENČÍN. Trenčín police have prosecuted the offense of attacking a public official in the case of a 67-year-old passenger who refused to put a respirator on the bus and attacked a police officer. The police inform about it on the social network.

Despite the police’s call, the passenger refused to cover the upper airways on the bus. The police therefore urged him to disembark, but the passenger did not respond to this call. This is despite the warning that in the event of disobedience, coercive means will be used.

“Subsequently, when the police tried to get the person out, they had to sit on the floor of the bus and refuse to stand up, kicking one of the police officers in the face and causing him injury,” the police said.

If guilty is proven, the offender faces a prison sentence of one to five years.
