The number of hospitalizations with covid has already exceeded 2,500. PCR tests on Wednesday revealed 6,546 cases of coronavirus, with a positivity of 28.5 percent. There were 38 deaths per covid.

Testing

The most positive PCR tests were in the Prešov Region (1,278), the least in the Nitra Region (411). The Banská Bystrica region recorded 950 positive ones, Košický 933, Žilinský 897, Bratislavský 840, Trenčiansky 647 and Trnavský 590.

Antigen tests revealed 1,859 positives, with a positivity of 6.8 percent.

Comparison

By comparison, exactly a week ago, it was added 6,713 cases covid, there were 1,890 patients with covid in hospitals and the number of victims increased by 34.

Daily highs are now changing rapidly. The current pandemic record is 7 055 cases from Tuesday, the previous maximum was 6,805 newly infected from Thursday.

The number of hospitalizations increased by 54 to 2,532 in the last day. At the peak of the second wave, there were about 4,000 patients in hospitals.

Among hospitalized, 79.7 percent of people are not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.

Vaccination

The previous day, there were 2,744 vaccinees with the first dose and 1,069 vaccines with the second dose.
