Deputy Speaker of Parliament Gábor Grendel (OĽaNO) also expelled deputies Marian Kotleba and Andrej Medvecký (both ĽSNS) from the parliament for non-deployment of respirators.

Thursday’s 48th session of the National Council of the Slovak Republic was chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the SaS Parliament Milan Laurenčík, who initially had to solve a problem regarding MP Milan Mazurek (unclassified), who blocked the speaker because of such a protest because he refused to put on a respirator and instead drape under the nose.

Although Mazurek initially refused to leave the rostrum, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the sitting for 15 minutes and waited for Members to leave voluntarily.

Since the deputies had already encountered this phenomenon, they decided to act and gave their green light to the fact that he could speak from the place where Mazurek left the place was expelled from the hall together with other “protesting deputies” who refused to deploy. ĽSNS deputy Peter Krupa was also among those leaving.

He was followed by another member of the opposition, Andrej Medvecký (ĽSNS).

Fico did not follow the new rules of procedure either

Among those who did not have a respirator on their face was Robert Fico, a member of Smer-SD, who has only been performing with a shield on his face for a long time. When Deputy Speaker Laurenčík called on him to either put on a respirator or leave the Chamber, Fico replied sternly: “You know I’m a cardiac,”.
