“You know, I still can’t believe it. I still feel like it’s just someone’s stupid joke, someone’s tightening up,” Miroslav responds to his death. A collection photographer Peter Procházka.

“We’ve had a lot of things planned. I was hoping to get something started at 70. Unfortunately, it won’t work anymore. It was very unexpected and I still have trouble talking about it.”

Miroslav Žbirka died on November 10, 2021. Although he had health problems, his death surprised everyone.

They had met Peter Procházek since childhood. They attended the same elementary school and became more friends with the pioneer party.

“We were both rebels, that united us. He sang, he played guitar, he played various Beatles and we liked the other guys very much. He knew English well and he was such a friendly, nice person overall.”

“I remember his father buying him a Sonet Duo tape recorder and the two of us racing all the time. I wanted him to release the Rolling Stones, and he always wanted to listen to the Beatles around.
