Peter Ceresnak captain of Slovakia at the German Cup: It’s an honor for me – Športky.sk

KREFELD – The captain of the Slovak hockey team at the German Cup will be the defender Peter Čerešňák from HC Plzeň, who has already played 83 matches in the most valuable jersey. The assistants are Michal Krištof and Mislav Rosandič.

“It’s an honor to be a captain to me. I’ve been to him before, so I know what I’m getting into. We have other older guys here who will definitely help me.” quoted Čerešňák on the portal www.hockeyslovakia.sk.

The Slovaks moved from Bratislava to Krefeld on Wednesday, where they completed their first training before the start of the German Cup. Patrik Hrehorčák has also coached coach Craig Ramsay, replacing the injured Andrej Kollár. “I have good feelings, but I can feel them all day on the plane. But it was good for the first training,” Patrik Hrehorčák said immediately after the first contact with the Krefel ice and added: “I want to help the team with predation, forcing, getting pucks. I feel good, I play a decent amount of time in the club. I feel more confident as I fight.”

Switzerland is waiting for us

The Slovaks will have their first match on Thursday at 4.15 pm in the YALA Arena against the Swiss. “We have to look at ourselves mainly. The Swiss will definitely be as good as every year. It’s always about us and our approach and our game. If we focus on ourselves and play well, the results will come,” commented after training Čerešňák.
