Thomas Coville and Thomas Rouxel, skippers of the maxi-trimaran Sodebo Ultim 3, suffered damage on the night of Wednesday 10 to Thursday 11 November on the Transat Jacques Vabre. “While they were sailing in 2nd position, at the latitude of Morocco, around 1 am Sodebo Ultim 3 violently collided with an UFO”, an unidentified floating object, can we read in a press release from Sodebo Ultim 3.

This is the third damage since the departure of the transatlantic: Monday, the sailboat skippered by Louis Burton and Davy Beaudart had dismasted a few hours after the start, forcing them to abandon.
