Passengers must re-prove their vaccination or overcoming the disease. The changes take effect on November 8 and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs informs about them on the website.

Confirmation of the first vaccination dose along with the PCR test will be temporarily accepted until December 6. The validity of the vaccination card is also shortened. “The green COVID passport is valid for only nine (instead of 12) months after the second dose of the vaccine and then the third dose is required,” approached the resort. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalls that rule 2G (proof of vaccination or overcoming COVID-19) applies to all indoor areas in Austria, such as gastronomy, cultural or leisure establishments, health care facilities or events from 25 people.

The new conditions will also affect the winter tourist season. “The use of ski lifts and cable cars will only be accessible to the vaccinated and healed. If the season ticket is bought by an unvaccinated citizen, it is not possible to request a refund.” the ministry approached.
