LIST of measures proposed by experts

Last week, a consortium of experts agreed on a package of strict measures that they said should help stabilize the already critical situation. They have not yet commented on the coalition measures, as they are not official. Minister Vladimír Lengvarský stated on Monday morning that he was behind the experts’ proposals.

One of the council members Elena Prokopová said that they could imagine that businesses and restaurants would be opened in the black districts for the vaccinated and those who overcame COVID. However, the condition is strict control, which is currently absent. That is why they have not proposed these measures until the controls are effective.

A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Zuzana Eliášová, gave a statement after Friday’s meeting of the extraordinary crisis staff. The situation with the COVID-19 epidemic is serious. That is why the Ministry of Health presented a proposal to introduce a local emergency, because the situation in some regions is very serious. It meant a state of emergency only for some regions. The limited movement for the unvaccinated was one of the council’s proposals, which, however, is not included in the changes adopted by the coalition council. Experts imagine it in the form of a curfew as defined in the COVID vending machine. However, exceptions would be extended to vaccinated individuals and those who have survived the coronavirus. To restrict movement, however, it is necessary to adopt a state of emergency for which there is currently no political will.
