Stančík from OĽaNO filed a criminal complaint for the prosecution of NAKA investigators – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. Coalition MP Andrej Stančík (OĽaNO) filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator in connection with the case of accusations of four investigators of the National Criminal Agency, who deal with the monitored cases.

As he stated at the briefing after he delivered the notice to the Prosecutor General’s Office, he sees in this case, for example, a suspicion of the crime of bending the law and abuse of power by a public official.

According to Stančík, the public rightly asks what the purpose and motivation of the prosecution of Ján Čurilla, Pavel Ďurka, Milan Sabota and Štefan Mašin was. “I believe that the bodies active in criminal proceedings will deal with this and the public will learn the truth and answers to serious questions,” Stančík stated.

On October 1, the Regional Court in Bratislava released the accused investigators NAKA and Pavel Scholtz, interim Chief of Police Inspectorate, because their prosecution is unjustified. However, Čurilla, Ďurka, Sabota and Mašin continue to be prosecuted for the crime of abuse of power by a public official and the crime of obstructing justice.

Čurilla and Ďurka, who worked within the Očistec team on the investigation of the monitored criminal cases, were accused in connection with the investigation of criminal cases of the criminal group Takáčovci. They allegedly prevented the group member Martin Mikulec from returning to Slovakia from abroad in 2020, thus wanting to create a reason for his escape. In the case of Ďurek, the accusation also concerns the alleged manipulation of the testimony of witness Csaba Dömötör.

Another accusation of the four police officers is connected with the intention of NAKA to investigate the activities of the so-called anti-police inspection. Peter Scholtz, the temporary head of the Office of the Inspection Service of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, was also charged with the case. He also faces allegations of abuse of power by a public official and obstruction of justice.
