They complain that in this case they will not be open even if visitors come with a vaccination greenpass or a negative test. Many blame the government and the measures. However, going back to the recent past, the government wanted to favor the vaccinated people, but one partner was against.

“We are doing this for the sake of the people. We have blocked this law because of them so that we do not polarize society,” Kollár spoke at the time, and his words were a bit paradoxical in the current days. “We shouldn’t try so much a tested nation so they don’t take to the streets,” carried on. He said that they did not succumb to the anti-vaxers, who at the time protested against this law and its adoption.

“We cannot discriminate against those who have chosen not to vaccinate with free will,” Kollár said at the time, saying that he did not want to divide the company into 2 categories: vaccinated and non-vaccinated.

It’s blackmailing people, Kollar said in July

But that’s not the end of it, and the head of We Are a Family argued at the time that the law was like blackmailing and forcing people to get vaccinated. The Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský then acknowledged that the aim of the law he was submitting, which he also took over with the Chief Hygienist Ján Mikas, was to increase the vaccination of the population, which was and still is very low. Lengvarski’s proposal was passed by the government, which also included Kollár’s ministers.

What is more paradoxical, however, is that the OĽANO movement did not support its own nominee at the time and took the side of We Are Family. They also did not like the fact that the ministry would cancel free testing and would like to ask the unvaccinated to test negative tests when entering the facilities. However, these people would pay only a symbolic amount for the tests after the government compromise, the rest would be paid by the state. “We expect Minister Lengvarsky to communicate honestly about what he is about. When this communication takes place in July, we are ready to support this proposal, but with people paying for the tests only symbolically,” Minister of Finance Igor Matovic said at the time.

In the summer, Lengvarský refused to back down from the idea of favoring the vaccinated. He insisted that people prove themselves with a GreenPass or a negative test when entering the facilities. Thus, the changes were to apply to the entrances to the operations even if the district was black.

Later, however, OĽaNO itself admitted that Kollár probably succumbed to the pressure of anti-vaxers, which said the chairman of the OĽaNO club, Michal Šipoš.

Sheliga predicted a black scenario already in the summer

Heger has now announced new measures after the coalition council

The words from the black scenario are also confirmed today by Prime Minister Eduard Heger himself (OĽaNO), who came up with new measures on the social network last night. The coalition council met. “The number of infected people is rising sharply, Slovakia is turning black. We have therefore decided to act – motivating but also strictly at the same time. At the coalition council, we agreed that the vaccinated and those who overcame the covid “However, all under regular compliance checks,” writes Heger.

Among the measures, Heger mentions several novelties. For example, if a person refuses to prove themselves with Covidpass and their identity, the operator / organizer will be obliged to refuse entry or a mass event.

The prime minister believes that the operations will be reasonable and will not risk severe penalties for circumvention. “This means that unvaccinated people will not be allowed into the interiors. We will continue to vote on these points as soon as possible.” notes the prime minister.
