The shooter is also accused of producing and trafficking drugs.

BRATISLAVA. A man who shot in the center of Bratislava over the weekend faces up to ten years in prison if he proves guilt. Police of 30-year-old Tomáš Š. accused of the crime of rioting committed by a more serious conduct, as well as of the crime of illicit manufacture of narcotic and psychotropic substances, poisons or precursors, their possession and trafficking in them.

TASR was informed about this by a spokesman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force (PZ) in Bratislava, Michal Szeiff.

“According to the results of the previous investigation, on Saturday morning on Obchodná Street, the accused should have pulled out a gas firearm and fired twice after it after a previous verbal exchange with another man,” the spokesman said. Police then began searching the area, spotting the suspect under a car in one of the yards on Obchodná Street.

In front of the patrol, the man dropped a pocket containing a bag of unknown crystalline material. The results of research at the Criminalistics and Expertise Institute of PZ showed that the amount of crystalline substance seized corresponds to a total of 558 doses of methamphetamine.

“The accused man is currently being placed in a police detention cell, and an investigation into the motion to take the accused into custody has been processed by investigators,” Szeiff added.
