WASHINGTON. In connection with Friday’s panic at a music festival in Houston, USA, in which eight people lost their lives, the law firm of Thomas J. Henry Law filed a lawsuit against rappers Travis Scott and Drake for “inciting chaos.” The AFP agency informed about it on Sunday.

The plaintiff is 23-year-old Kristian Paredes, who suffered serious injuries during the panic. A total of 25 Astroworld Festival visitors were injured and had to be hospitalized, some with cardiac arrest.

The causes of the mass panic are still being investigated. According to the head of firefighters in Houston, Samuel Peña, there was a crowd in front of the podium, in which several people fell within a few minutes. Many visitors asked the security guards for help, but they ignored them.

The lawsuit alleges that Scott also caused confusion in his previous appearances. Drake was to roar the audience even more when he arrived on stage, even though the crowd was out of control.

Paredes also sued the media company Live Nation Entertainment. There were about 50,000 people in the NRG Park complex where the festival took place at the time of the disaster. Travis Scott has been organizing the event since 2018. After the tragedy, he said he was shocked.
