They need to find a common position

“They have to find a common position and we are voting for it,” he said. According to him, everyone’s personal responsibility is key, he does not see the point in dividing people into vaccinated and non-vaccinated. “Let’s give the vaccinated their freedom, but sensitively, so as not to harm their rights,” stated. He added that regardless of the measures, the pandemic “lives its own life” and the third wave only has to pass.

The Vice-Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) claims that the Smer-SD party will support all measures that will help improve the epidemiological situation, but hand in hand with the provision of compensation to people. He criticizes the coalition for its disunity, which creates unnecessary chaos in society. According to him, people should only come to a final position, which will be agreed behind closed doors. “Your coalition partner is questioning what the experts are saying. What should people take from it?” stated in response to Sulík’s comments on the recommendations of the Council of Experts.

He also criticizes the disunity of the coalition in connection with reforms. “One goes to defend them, Heger goes to criticize them,” stated. According to Smer-SD, he sees the solution of tension in society in a referendum.

“This is a legitimate way, not to put cops against people just for drapes,” said Blanár. Kollár agrees that the will of the people is important, he declared that the government is ready to amend the constitution. “I believe we should amend the constitution and allow the people to shorten the term,” he noted.

Kollár said in this connection that he could not veto something that was mentioned in the government’s program statement. “I can’t veto health care reform, but I don’t have to agree with the form the minister comes up with,” he explained. He reiterated that it was in favor of reforms being made, but in such a way that they would not adversely affect the lives of people in the regions.
