The original furniture of Lekárna u Salvatora arrived in Bratislava, which the city bought from a private collector for almost a million euros. The demanding disassembly and relocation took seven days.

The restorers and custodians of the Bratislava City Museum also helped move to the depository on Primate’s Square. They also cooperated with the Municipal Institute for the Protection of Monuments in Bratislava.

The museum is preparing documentation that will be used to reassemble the historic furniture in the building of the Pharmacy at Salvator. The original furniture has been there since the building was built in 1904, and it was taken away in the 1990s. He ended up with a collector in Novo Mesto nad Váhom.

The municipality justified the purchase by saying that it wanted to return the original furniture and the original function of the pharmacy to the building of the Pharmacy at Salvator, which is a national cultural monument and last year the city exchanged it in its exclusive ownership.

The furniture of the pharmacy was established in 1727, when the Jesuit order established a pharmacy in its building of the Jesuit college at 26 Kapitulská Street. Salvatora.
