SaS opposes the introduction of a state of emergency and a curfew – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. Coalition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) does not agree with all the proposals of the expert council on how to deal with the deteriorating pandemic situation in Slovakia.

Liberals do not say fundamentally about closing schools outside the rules of the school vending machine, closing establishments after 22.00 even for the vaccinated or introducing a state of emergency and a curfew.

A systemic step to increase the motivation to get vaccinated against the disease COVID-19, and thus to cope with the pandemic, according to the SaS, it is a clear signal to the company that the pandemic has ended for the vaccinated.

“Despite the low proportion of children in hospitalizations, our proposal to reduce their weight in the vending machine so as to bring more freedom while maintaining the maximum possible safety was not accepted. , “said Jana Bittó Cigániková, Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Health Committee.

SaS sees a priority mainly in motivating people to get vaccinated and not in closing all facilities in burgundy and black districts, even for the vaccinated. Liberals do not see the solution as mandatory vaccination risk groups, because due to the acute shortage of workers in the Slovak Republic, this may mean the collapse of health care and social care.

“In the current situation, we consider it more reasonable to allow these risk groups a strict OTP regime with daily free testing in the workplace, while increasing the emphasis on education and awareness of the risk-benefit balance of vaccination,” said Bittó Cigániková.

According to her, the solution is also the extended publication of COVID statistics on the dead and people connected to artificial lung ventilation in the division of vaccinations and non-vaccinations, opening of the waiting room for the third dose vaccines for all ages and maximum freedom for the vaccinated.
