One politician has already been fined for violating the rules in the High Tatras. Now it threatens another. The Minister of Investment and Mountain Lover Veronika Remišová went with her family on the first day of the winter closure to a closed sidewalk. The traces of constitutional officials are reminiscent of a much more serious topic, namely the years of absent general visiting rules in our largest national park.

From this week, the seasonal closure of some hiking trails is valid. Caps are at every possible turn. The rules for movement in the Tatra National Park have been partially regulated by decrees since 2017, but the fact is that there is still no proper visitor rules, which by law must be mandatory for every national park. Locals therefore call the current situation a mess.

According to the district office in Prešov, which should issue the order in the form of a decree, six more fundamental comments need to be discussed.

Romana Tabák also wants to add a hand to the work, who was fined 500 euros after publishing a photo of him hardening in the Studenovodský stream. She was ruled out by an inspectorate for moving off the hiking trail. Defenders are now urging her to work together to promote the rules and the MEP does not hide her ambitions.
