The Eternals: we finally know who owns “the voice” in the post-credits scene – Hitek.fr

At Hitek, we have already returned to the post-credits scenes visible at the end of the Eternals. The latest MCU film, directed by Chloe Zhao, is currently available in our theaters and is not unanimous. But as always with Marvel, the last images landed after the arrival of the credits were able to raise the hype for the rest of the saga and intrigue fans. They are obviously eager to multiply the theories, especially concerning a very specific element: a voice.

Kit Harrington, the future Dark Knight of the MCU

In the post-credits scene of Eternals, the character of Dane Whitman, played by Kit Harrington, can be seen in a classroom and opening a suitcase containing an important family heirloom, the Ebony Sword, a cursed weapon with great powers, which he hesitates to take in his hands. If the average cultist may not have understood the scope of this scene, it nevertheless plays a capital role: this is where we understand that Whitman will indeed become The Dark Knight.

We are not talking about Batman here, but a superhero from the Marvel universe, regularly opposed to Iron Man in the comics. We won’t go into more detail, we already told you about it yesterday. On the other hand, we now know more about a specific aspect of this post-generic scene of Eternals : the identity of the voice heard by Dane Whitman when discovering the sword.

The identity of the voice revealed

The voice Dane hears when he faces the sword and asks him if he’s really ready to grab it now has a name. Very mysterious, she pushed fans to multiply the theories about her, some assuming for example that it was that of Doctor Strange. Spoiler, this is not the case. Director Chloe Zhao has indeed spoken about it, explaining that it was actually the voice of Blade, one of her “favorite superheroes”.

Blade, whose real name is Eric Brooks, is a vampire and above all a superhero of the Marvel universe, premiered in the early 1970s. In 1998, he was featured in a film in which he was played by actor Wesley Snipes. Corn in the MCU, it’s Mahershala Ali (Moonlight, Alita: Battle Angel) who will take over the role. Fans already know that Blade will be at the center of a feature film directed by Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli), although very little concrete information has been revealed about it.

Over the next few years, it’s a safe bet that this Blade character will gain significant prominence within the MCU. In addition to becoming a full-fledged superhero, he could appear in 2022 in the MCU miniseries Moon Knight. Once again, little information has yet been mentioned, but rumors around the presence of the character played by Mahershala Ali in the series are increasing, especially because of the relative similarity of the two heroes: they are dark, violent …

And, for the more connoisseurs, Moon Knight and Blade even go so far as to join forces in the comics, to form the Midnight Sons (Fils de Minuit): a team brought together by Doctor Strange.
