Words of Boris Sádecký’s family after the tragic death: Sad details that bring tears to your eyes! – Sports

BRATISLAVA – The family of the deceased Boris Sádecký spoke officially after the collapse and subsequent death. In the contribution of the newly established Good Heart Foundation, Boris Sádecký thanked them for their support and time to come to terms with the loss of a loved one.

We publish the whole opinion of Boris’s girlfriend Šárka and immediate family:

“Good day,

the loss of a loved one is an extremely difficult situation, all the more so when it comes to a person who should have had his whole life ahead of him. Thank you for the support we receive from everyone, whether family members, friends, teammates, acquaintances, or even often unknown people who knew Boris or cheered for him during his beautiful hockey career. Thank you for your support from his parent club HK Dukla Trenčín. Special thanks for the support and great help we receive from his current hockey club IClinic Bratislava Capitals.

Thanks also for the time you gave us to deal with the shock we faced and are still working on.

Like any death of a young man – Borisov – raises many questions. Although we do not know the answers to many of them ourselves, we would like to provide you with the information we have.

As you know, at the end of the first third of the match between Dornbirn and Bratislava Capitals, Boris collapsed on the ice and collapsed. It took some time for his first aid to recover. He was taken to a hospital in Dornbirn, where the first examinations were performed in a stable state during artificial sleep. As they did not allow clear conclusions to be drawn, he was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Innsbruck to a specialized department of cardiovascular medicine. Further investigations continued and the various theoretical causes of this accident were gradually ruled out.

Today we know that Boris had mild inflammation of the heart muscle on the day of the collapse. So light and indistinct that he didn’t even know something was wrong with his heart. Doctors had to perform several re-examinations to be sure of the inflammation. Boris thought that he was starting the match with strength and he was in good mental peace. This inflammation of the heart probably caused a cardiac arrest, which stopped working for him during the match. The following days, he was provided with top-notch health care. No one dared guess how long his brain had been without oxygen and when it would be a good time to wake him up. The worst-case scenario we were afraid to think of was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon, when doctors declared a brain death. Just as he was constantly surrounded and supported by his immediate family during the last days of his most difficult struggle, he was certainly in the minds and prayers of many of you. Thank you for all your support.

You turned to us with various questions, and in addition to questions about what actually happened, there were also questions on the current topic: covid-19. We can confirm that doctors at Boris covid-19 ruled out. At the same time, all considerations on the subject of vaccination are only empty speculation, and we dare to ask that they not spread. It is important that our Boris’s life message is spread.

The health condition of every athlete is constantly under the scrutiny of doctors. And as we have witnessed, it is still impossible to prevent unfortunate events. Even worse are amateur and recreational athletes, semi-professionals or any of us who do not have the opportunity to monitor their health in such detail. At the same time, even a small, subjectively negligible health complication can have fatal consequences. How many times have you said to yourself, because it’s just a cold, I’m breaking up, no problem. It’s just a morning sore throat, I’m fit in the afternoon and I can go jogging. And we haven’t given our body the time it needs to regenerate. Each of us is certainly aware of the importance of regeneration and good health. Unfortunately, we seldom act accordingly.

We all loved Boris. He was a great athlete and an even better person. He was good-natured, selfless, and selfless. Health was his priority. During his life, he spread only goodness and optimism. Many of you have asked how you can help. We would like to continue his legacy, and we therefore believe that he would certainly support the idea of ​​raising awareness about the importance of health care. For this reason, we decided to establish the organization The Good Heart of Boris Sádecký, which will actively lead the campaign, education and education about health care in sports – whether professional or recreational.
