According to the testimony of Petr Petrov, nicknamed Tiger, Kaľavský, a NAKA operative at the time, was supposed to bring sensitive information about the upcoming events. Peter should have tacted in advance about all the major police actions that have taken place recently.

“At the end of October or the beginning of November 2020, shortly before the event, Purgec revealed to Peter Petrov the preparation and planned execution of this event and showed him on his phone thirteen or fourteen names of persons who were to be detained during the event.” it is written in the resolution.

Specific names should have fallen in the case of Judas as well. Kaľavský was also supposed to inform Petrov about the planned detention of the former head of the Slovak Information Service, Vladimír Pčolinský.

It is interesting that, according to the resolution, Kaľavský also told Petrov about the Tiger event, which bore the same name as Petrov’s nickname. Kaľavský believed that the event was related to Petrov. In the end, however, it turned out that she did not concern his friend.

In return, Kaľavský was to not only bring information to Petrov, but on the contrary, he was supposed to keep some of his concerns about his “friend” and could harm him in front of his colleagues in the police. This was to happen, for example, in the case of a man who was supposed to talk about tax fraud, in which Petrov was also to be involved. Kaľavský “With the intention of protecting Petr Petrov from criminal prosecution, he concealed this information and did not include it in the written extracts from the extraction.”

He also informed him in advance about the planned detention of Tomáš Rajeský at the border. Rajecký, who is facing charges in connection with illegal cigarette production, is still on the run.

His reward was a used car and new windows

In return, Kaľavský was to receive bribes from Petrov in return, which took various forms. These include, for example, a used Range Rover Sport worth 8 to 9 thousand euros. Kaľavský was to see the ad on the car at the end of July 2020 and turned to Petrov to help him with the purchase, which he did. In addition to paying for the car, he also paid for tires, service and insurance. The vehicle was transferred to Kaľavský’s wife.

Petrov was later to help Kaľavský financially with the purchase of a new car. It was a Toyota RAV 4, to which Petrov was to contribute 5,000 euros. By the third, Petrov had to pay for the service of another car.

Petrov was to make a financial contribution to Kaľavský even when he decided to replace the kitchen windows in the cottage he and his wife have in central Slovakia. Kaľavský claimed that they did not have money for new windows. Petrov was to help him immediately and paid an almost 1,000 euro invoice through his company.

The resolution also states that at the end of 2019 Petrov bought and handed over to Kaľavský “a more unstable Samsung S10 or S20 mobile phone worth at least € 900.”

Kaľavský is on the run, he denies the accusations

Petrov is currently in custody and has several charges around his neck, but he is cooperating with the authorities. Against Kaľavský, his former NAKA liaison, he even testifies that he was the only one of the entire police who guided him as he should testify. He also drew attention to the alleged relationship between Kaľavský and the accused Peter Košč, nicknamed Mr. X. Kaľavský should have asked Petrov not to testify against Košč, allegedly his close friend. Košč is also on the run at the moment. He is accused of bribing the then special prosecutor Dušan Kováčik.

Kaľavský was accused for the first time in May this year, when he was also detained. However, the judge did not send him into custody and the Prosecutor General’s Office eventually stopped the prosecution. In the autumn, however, Kaľavský was accused again – this time of corruption, abuse of power by a public official and obstruction of justice. However, he was no longer able to be detained, he is officially on the run and the Special Criminal Court has issued an international arrest warrant for him.

Kaľavský’s lawyer Eva Mišíková denies the accusations of her client and has already filed two complaints against them. The prosecutor’s office has not yet decided on those. “He refuses any bribery and also refuses to take any information from those criminal cases or from cases which have been investigated by the National Criminal Agency on the grounds that he did not even have such information,” stated recently for TV JOJ. She called Peter Petrov unbelievable.
