Data released by the British National Statistics Office (ONS) show that unvaccinated people are up to 32 times more likely to succumb to the disease after infection. The British pointed this out Daily Mail.

In the British Isles, the mortality rate among the unvaccinated is 849.7 per 100,000 population. However, in the case of fully vaccinated persons, it is “only” 26.2 per 100 thousand persons. The numbers also revealed a significantly lower risk of death in those infected who have so far received only the first dose of the vaccine. In this case, it represents 105.3 dead per 100,000 people.

However, the data with which the ONS worked are in the period from 2 January to 24 September. Thus, they also include those people who were not yet among the vaccinated groups at that time. However, according to scientists, this is still clear evidence that people should be vaccinated.

They did not question the vaccination, but …

But there were also voices questioning such numbers. “32 times more likely to die may be a little exaggerated. We know that vaccination is slower in some minorities and communities.” said British Covid-19 expert John Roberts. However, he did not question the effect of the vaccines themselves, he had reservations about the given number.

Economist Chris Snowdon, on the other hand, called the statistics questionable precisely because only a fraction of people had been vaccinated by March.

Currently, at least the first dose of the vaccine has been received in the UK by approximately 86.9 per cent of people over the age of 12.

So far, 2,398,209 people have been fully vaccinated in Slovakia and we rank among the worst countries in the European Union in this respect. Looking at the hospitals, it can be seen that 79.35 hospitalized patients are patients who are not vaccinated at all or have received only the first dose.
