Ján Kaľavský was the chief of operations at the National Criminal Agency, but at the same time he was a secret agent who brought information to the inspectorate, as well as to the mafia Peter Petrov from such people.

Ján Kaľavský allegedly brought information from the National Criminal Agency and exchanged it for valuables such as cars, tires or new windows for his cottage. This follows from the text of the resolution on the indictment, which is available to the portal Aktuality.sk.

According to him, the former head of operations at NAKA allegedly cooperated with the mobster from the gang of such people, Peter Petrov, to whom he passed important information about the upcoming events, for which he received, for example, a used Range Rover for approximately 8- to 9,000 euros. Petrov also paid him insurance and a new takeover for this car.

Kaľavský allegedly told Petrov about all the major police actions of the last period. This concerned the detention of Ľudovít Makó, former SIS chief Vladimír Pčolinský and others. Petrov also had information from the files.

The text of the Kaľavský accusation obtained by Aktuality is based on the statement of a mobster who has already confessed to several accusations and is cooperating with the police. “The only person who ever asked me and influenced me before my interrogations was Ján Kaľavský, who, at least since April 2020, has asked me not to testify against his close friend and boss Peter Košč, who was afraid of prosecuting his person.” Petrov testified at a September hearing for an inspection.

Thanks to him, they also accused and detained them. The Regional Court in Bratislava later stated that it saw no reason to bring charges.
