The home side put themselves ahead 1 – 1 after 9 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Paulo Dybala, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. However, the Turin players confirmed their role as the favorite, starting the second half with great pressure, which crowned them in the 60th minute with their second goal, this time from a penalty, Dybala. Others were added by Federico Chiesa and Alvaro Morata. In the end, Sardar Azmoun only reduced. Juventus advanced with 12 points.

Chelsea, who was expected to have the upper hand in the duel of the H-group with the home team Malmö FF (1: 0), collected three less. Callum Hudson-Odoi swapped positions on the right hand side with Cesar Azpilicuet, sending the ball right to the back post, where Ziyech was ready.
