Covid today the Czech Republic, never so many infections since March

Almost ten thousand new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the Czech Republic in the last 24 hours. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, reporting 9,902 infections, the highest number since March. A week ago there were 6,284 new confirmed cases. In addition, for the first time since May, hospitalized coronavirus patients have exceeded two thousand, of which 288 people in intensive care. The head of the Czech Republic’s Institute for Health Information and Statistics, Ladislav Dusek, told Czech Radio that the number of cases is less important than the number of hospitalizations, which he believes will soon reach 3,000. He also said cases in the country are currently growing among people aged 30 to 50 who have not been vaccinated.
