G20 Rome, Prince Charles: “Time to save the planet”

“It is certainly time to put aside our differences and take this unique opportunity to initiate a substantial green recovery by putting the global economy on a sustainable and safe trajectory and thereby save our planet.” This was declared by Prince Charles, speaking on the climate emergency at the G20 summit in Rome. We have “an enormous responsibility towards the generations that have yet to be born”, he stressed again. “The health, happiness and economic prosperity of future generations will depend on the health of the planet today,” he said.
