A motorist injured by a rifle bullet near Rennes: a hunter arrested

The accident happened this Saturday, October 30, 2021. Around 1 p.m., a motorist was hit by a bullet while he was driving on the N137, in direction of Rennes.

Shock took place at the level of the municipality of Pont-Péan, south of Rennes.

Affected in the neck

The driver aged 67 years old would be affected at the neck. It was first taken care of by the firefighters before being transported to the Rennes hospital center in a state serious.

“The shot was reportedly fired by a hunter. The vital prognosis is engaged for the victim ”, according to Jean-Marie Blin, deputy prosecutor of the Rennes public prosecutor’s office.

A man in custody

An investigation is underway by the Redon research brigade and the Rennes Research Section. A hunter is currently in jail.
