It should be possible to observe in some parts of Slovakia tonight aurora borealis. Petr Horálek from the Institute of Physics in Opava pointed this out with reference to the National Office for the Ocean and Atmosphere.

The aurora borealis is the result of a strong eruption on the Sun, which occurred on October 28 at 5:35 p.m.

If the geomagnetic storm is as strong as astronomers predict, the glow will also be observable from Slovakia low above the northern horizon, most likely after dark.

The aurora borealis is most often green, but it can also be red or blue.
