Ille-et-Vilaine: the missing woman was found dead

The body of the 72-year-old woman, missing in Pléchâtel (Ille-et-Vilaine) since Wednesday, October 27, 2021, was drafted in the Vilaine, this Friday, October 29, 2021.

The gendarmerie had deployed a major search device, engaging helicopter and nautical brigades, to find the septuagenarian, whose disappearance had been reported by her daughter on Wednesday afternoon.

Criminal trail ruled out

The woman had left by bike Wednesday afternoon, on the towpaths of Pléchâtel, and had since disappeared.

The search ended this Friday afternoon, when the body was found by the divers of the nautical brigade, in Saint-Senoux, less than three kilometers from the home of the inhabitant of Pléchâtel.

“The criminal trail is ruled out,” said the Redon gendarmerie company.
