It’s still growing! Hygienists report the second highest daily increase in those infected since the beginning of the pandemic – TVNOVINY.sk

In Slovakia, 5,142 people with confirmed coronavirus and 18 other victims of covid disease arrived on Friday. This is the second highest daily increase in those infected since the beginning of the pandemic. Hygienists performed 17,638 PCR tests.

Of the newly infected, more than 69 percent were not vaccinated.

Regarding antigen testing, 1,018 were positive, almost 69% of whom have not yet been vaccinated.

The most positively tested RT-PCR tests were in the Prešov Region (1,360), followed by the Banská Bystrica Region (780), the Košice Region (750), the Žilina Region (733), the Bratislava Region (445), the Trenčín Region (415), the Nitra Region (347) and the Trnava Region. (312). There are 2,455 men and 2,687 women among them. The total number of positively tested men is 228,542 and women 251,195.

1,402 patients are hospitalized in hospitals, all of whom have confirmed the disease. Among hospitalized, 79.38% are not vaccinated at all or only partially vaccinated. There are 138 patients at JIS, 134 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation.

The number of confirmed victims of pulmonary COVID-19 increased by 18 people. The total number of “Covid” deaths is 13,018 and the total number of “Covid” deaths is 2,525.

The total number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine is 2,499,969, with 2,282 vaccinated the previous day. The second dose of the vaccine has already been given to 2,305,281 people, and 3,033 people have been vaccinated the past day.
