Weather: Ardèche, Gard and Lozère placed in orange vigilance because of the expected heavy rains and – franceinfo

Météo France is extending its orange “rain-flood” vigilance to three departments on Friday, October 29. The Ardèche joins the Gard and Lozère. “A Cévennes episode is expected between Friday evening and Sunday”, warns the forecasting institute. The light rains on Friday will intensify at the end of the day and “the maximum activity is expected between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon on the Cevennes”, specifies Météo France.

“The accumulations expected until Saturday evening are 140 to 180 mm generalized, occasionally 200 to 240 mm”, warns the agency. Until Sunday, the totals “will be of the order of 150 to 200 mm generalized, occasionally 250 to 300 mm”. In addition to Gard and Lozère, the Ardèche also risks being placed on orange vigilance during the weekend because Météo France predicts that this Cévennes episode “will evolve into a Mediterranean episode”.
